Jan 20, 2024 · You are trying to do too much but it is somewhat fixable - rent a car in Zagreb on day 5. Your problem is you lose too much of your limited time trying to travel by bus. Day 5 would then be leisurely morning in Zagreb, rent a car and drive to Plitvice by night, day 6 would be do Plitvice as it opens and then drive to Zadar at or after lunchtime, then day 7 you can have coffee and walk around ... Hard to give specific recommendations based on liking history alone as there are lots of options, Split is probably the easiest base as it is the hub for the southern Islands. Croatia is not cheap to eat out any more but the all inclusive resorts do not make for very good bases. 2. I quite like the weather in November as it is cooler. It is not the month to see Croatia at its stunning best. My favourite months here are April, May, June, September and October.
