Install the distributor hold-down and tighten the bolt. The rotor in the distributor needs to align with the number-1 post on the distributor cap. Position the cap on the distributor. Install the hold-down clamp with the bolt and temporarily tighten it so the distributor doesn’t accidentally move before starting the engine.
The 300 I6 is a low speed torque monster! I've own 2 vans, 1 had a 300 cu in 6 with a 4 spd OD, yup, factory 4 spd ! And a 302 V8 with a C6. Out of the two, I liked the 300 cu in better. It had more low speed torque and the 302 with the C6 was always down shifting with a slight load. that got to be annoying after awhile.. 4 brothers movie
